Borrell shaken by mass graves found in Izium
KYIV. Sept 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) – High Representative of the European Union for Foreign and Security Policy Josep Borrell is shocked by the mass graves discovered in Izium after its de-occupation from Russian invaders.
"Deeply shocked by mass graves discovered by Ukrainian authorities with over 440 bodies in Izium, recently liberated from invading Russian military," the head of EU diplomacy said on Twitter on Friday.
"Russia’s leadership and all those involved will be held accountable. EU supports every effort to this end," he said.
Earlier it was reported that in de-occupied Izium, Kharkiv region, legal proceedings began in relation to the mass graves of people found there.
