Justice for crimes committed by Russia in Ukraine must go hand in hand with rebuilding – British ambassador
KYIV. Sept 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The town of Izium, which has been recently liberated from the Russian occupation, is unfolding as a site of horrific war crimes, and justice for crimes committed by Russia in Ukraine must go hand in hand with rebuilding, British Ambassador to Ukraine Melinda Simmons has said.
"Izium is unfolding as a site of horrific war crimes. Mass grave. Bodies that show signs of having been tortured. As Ukrainian land is liberated, death is uncovered. Justice for crimes committed by Russia in Ukraine must go hand in hand with rebuilding," she said on Twitter.
