DTEK Energy delivers first 50,000 tonnes of coal to Centrenergo within preparations for heating season

KYIV. Sept 15 (Interfax-Ukraine) – DTEK Energy, having started providing coal for the coming heating season to state-owned PJSC Centrenergo, supplied it with the first 50,000 tonnes of the resource, Ildar Saleev, the CEO of the company, said.

"The coal mining enterprises of DTEK Energy provide fuel not only to their own thermal power plants, which are a priority, but have found an opportunity to support and provide additional volumes for the needs of Centrenergo’s TPPs. The first 50,000 tonnes of coal are already being shipped," Saleev wrote on his Facebook page.

He noted that a lot depends on the joint efforts and coherence of the actions of the state, local authorities, energy companies, miners, power engineers and machine builders for the successful passage of the winter, which will be a "challenge for all of us."

The company has not yet begun to specify the details deliveries, including the total amount of resource that is planned to be provided to Centrenergo.
