Commission for selecting ARMA head has no winner, won't recommend holding repeated competition

KYIV. Aug 15 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The commission for selecting a head of the Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA) did not choose the winner of the competition and will not recommend the government to hold a repeated competition.

"None of the candidates received necessary six votes of the commission members required by law," Deputy Justice Minister of Ukraine Ivan Lischyna, who is also a member of the commission, said.

The commission will send the voting protocol to the government. However, it will not recommend the government to announce a repeated competition.

"Certainly, we are unable to influence the work of the Cabinet of Ministers, therefore it can act on its own discretion with regard to the further fate of the competition in line with the law," Ivanenko said.

Seven candidates participated in the competition, three of them withdrew their candidacies.
