On February 10^th, 2022, the Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture (KNUCA) hosted Construction. Innovation. Investment. Technologies’ event within the IV International Scientific and Practical Online Conference named Actual Problems, Priority Directions and Development Strategies of Ukraine.

The conference raised several critical issues in construction, ranging from the environment to investment.

The conference participants discussed the idea of Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klychko to establish a municipal bank in Kyiv as a possible tool for Kyiv residents. Namely, it was seen as a tool for lending to purchase housing or other needs of the capital’s residents and other opportunities to use the tools of this bank.

Many conference participants liked the speech of the Deputy Chairman of the State Fund for Youth Housing to finance the purchase of their housing by young people, with the support of the state as well as the analysis of the implementation of programs, including housing for internally displaced persons.

The Deputy Chairman of the Board of JSC “IBOX BANK” gave a very informative and meaningful speech regarding the banking instruments and their implementation because every developer understands that the construction of extensive facilities without financial support is quite limited.

The speakers proceeded from financial instruments to scientific and practical speeches to improve the Ukrainian construction industry, raising it to modern building codes and trends.

During the conference, many speeches were devoted to many different topics, including the design of high-tech facilities using BIM technology, Smart City, the role of sun protection in energy-saving buildings, noise and material pollution of the city, rainwater drainage, green construction, and prospects for the use of alternative materials for road construction and these are just some of the speeches specified at a conference.

A sociological survey was presented among specialists in the creative industry on how they see their housing and what parameters it should meet. This survey aims to show the direction for developers and what they should pay attention to during the housing design.

All guests had the opportunity to communicate directly with the speakers, ask questions, and get meaningful answers during the performance and the coffee break.

The event was also attended by: MPs of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, local lawmakers, Ministries’ representatives, public organizations’ representatives, developers, representatives of investment companies, and other stakeholders.
