Program / Department Summary
The Talent Acquisition Advisor is part of the overall recruitment support for Ukraine Country operations.
General Position Summary
The Advisor will work closely to coordinate with the People and Culture Director and the support Ukrainian recruitment, develop onboarding procedures and materials, and orient counterparts in Ukraine as to Mercy Corps onboarding practices and recommended People management systems.
Essential Responsibilities
- Lead assigned national recruitments as assigned working with hiring teams for long listing, interviews, conducting tests.
- Assess applicants’ relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience and aptitude
- Support with headhunting/sourcing for hard to fill role including using social media, specifically LinkedIn and other appropriate channels.
- Support with UltiPro Recruiting Module as requested
- Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process
- Promote and build Mercy Corps employer’s branding as a workplace of choice
Supervisory Responsibility: None.
Accountability
Reports Directly To: People and Culture Director
Works Directly With: Hiring Teams, HR and Recruitment Officers.
Success Factors
The successful candidate shall demonstrate agility and curiosity in understanding the work of humanitarian response actors, and will portray Mercy Corps as a positive and forward-thinking actor in the Ukrainian response. S/he shall demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, will reflect the best of Mercy Corps when communicating with program participants, team members, government and municipal representatives, and other stakeholders. The successful candidate will be well-organized, demonstrate a keen concentration, and appropriate cultural sensitivity when providing written and oral communication.
