About the organisation: The Bohdan Hawrylyshyn Family Foundation (BHFF) was founded in 2017 by the wife and children of a famous Ukrainian, a prominent economist and visionary, public figure and philanthropist, and permanent patriot of Ukraine, Dr. Bohdan Hawrylyshyn, to continue his mission and the mission of the Bohdan Hawrylyshyn Foundation and contribute to the development of Ukraine and its transformation into an effective prosperous country. Short description of the position: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community and Event Manager to join our Foundation. The Community and Event Manager will be responsible for developing and managing our alumni community, creating and executing engaging events and activities, and fostering partnerships with other organizations. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in community management, event planning, and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct the research of the BHFF alumni community.
- Maintain and update the alumni database and create profiles of community members.
- Unite alumni into a proactive community, find ways to strengthen the community, and encourage participation.
- Develop an event content plan for the BHFF community and organize events involving community experts, partners and other organizations.
- Manage internal communication, including writing announcements, newsletters, meeting summaries, and attracting new members to the community.
- Coordinate and execute local events and community meetings in collaboration with BHFF Ambassadors.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with other communities and partner organizations together with Project Manager, Communication Manager and Fundraiser.
- Develop and strengthen the community abroad.
- Create and manage speakers and mentors from the community experts pool for BHFF programs and for the request from partner organizations.
- Collect feedbacks and interact with the community to ensure satisfaction and engagement.
- Initiate, develop, and improve formats for community development, collaboration, and communication.
- Report on the project within established timelines.
Your Background & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in community management and event planning.
- Strong organizational, planning, and project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Ukrainian and English.
- Proven ability to work independently and in a team.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Experience with social media platforms and content creation.
- Ability to work flexible hours and travel as needed.
- Ability to be flexible and respond to a rapidly changing environment.
- Passion for the foundation’s mission and values.
The Bohdan Hawrylyshyn Family Foundation is currently operating remotely, but the presence in Ukraine and the willingness to work from the office in Kyiv is important. We offer a competitive salary and opportunities to grow and develop within the Foundation.
