Інтерн (Migration and Sustainable Development Intern)

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Title of Position: Migration and Sustainable Development Intern
Organizational Unit: Migration and Sustainable Development (MSD)
Classification: Internship 
Type of Appointment: Full time (40 hours per week), 3 months with possibility of   extension

Nature of Internship: Under overall supervision of the Chief of Mission (CoM) and direct supervision of the Migration and Sustainable Development Coordinator, the MSD Intern will be primarily responsible for the following duties:

  1. Assist in the day-to-day work of the MSD Unit.
  2. Work with the MSD Team to implement activities and facilitate operational procedures for enterprise development and diaspora engagement. This may include responsibilities related to administrative, financial, procurement aspects of work;
  3. Attend and take notes during the internal and external meetings related to operational areas of MSD’s activities;
  4. Interact with IOM partners on relevant MSD activities;
  5. Assist with the preparation of MSD-related online and offline events;
  6. Support with interpretation and drafting official and unofficial correspondence in English and Ukrainian;
  7. Perform such other duties as may be assigned.

Desired qualifications: 

Education and Experience: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree. Degree in Economics, International or Development Studies are desirable. Technical mastery of the following software programs: MS Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint.

  • Flexibility and ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work effectively and harmoniously with colleagues within a team from varied cultures and professional backgrounds

Languages: Fluency in English and Ukrainian.
