ZFP cuts production by 4.4% in Jan-July
KYIV. Sept 1 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Zaporizhia Ferroalloy Plant (ZFP) in January-June this year reduced production by 4.4% compared to the same period last year, to 118,810 tonnes.
As the Ukrainian Association of Producers of Ferroalloys and Other Electrometallurgical Products told Interfax-Ukraine, in the first seven months of the year, the plant reduced production of silicon manganese by 35%, to 39,040 tonnes, but increased production of ferrosilicon by 31.3%, to 45,850 tonnes, and ferromanganese by 6.5%, to 29,840 tonnes.
The enterprise also tripled production of metallic manganese, to 4,080 tonnes.
In July, 21,770 tonnes of ferroalloys were produced.
