Zelenskyy backs petition to resume declaring financial condition of officials, MPs, bill registered in Rada – Arakhamia
KYIV. Feb 22 (Interfax-Ukraine) – President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy supported a petition demanding to resume declaring the financial condition of officials and MPs, and a bill on the resumption of electronic declarations had already been registered in the Verkhovna Rada for consideration at the ninth session, head of the Servant of the People parliamentary faction David Arakhamia said.
“Volodymyr Zelenskyy supported the petition to resume declaring the financial condition of officials and MPs. I want to thank the president for supporting my bill No. 8071, which resumes the submission and verification of electronic declarations. The day before, G7 ambassadors spoke in support of bill No. 8071,” Arakhamia wrote on the Telegram channel on Wednesday.
“The bill has already been included in the agenda of the ninth session of the Verkhovna Rada. A working group has been created to ensure its adoption as soon as possible,” he specified.
It is recalled that in connection with the full-scale war unleashed by Russia, from February 24, 2022, access to all public data of civil servants at that time was closed in Ukraine.
A petition demanding to resume declaring the financial condition of officials and MPs was made public on January 30, 2023 and within a month gained 25,000 signatures.
