Zelensky, UN Secretary General agree parameters of possible IAEA mission to Zaporizhia NPP
KYIV. Aug 18 (Interfax-Ukraine) – President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said he had agreed with Secretary General of the United Nations (UN) António Guterres the parameters of a possible IAEA mission to Zaporizhia nuclear power plant.
"Nuclear safety is an unconditional priority for everyone in the world… We agreed with Mr. UN Secretary General the parameters of a possible IAEA mission to Zaporizhia nuclear power plant – in a legal way and through territories free from invaders," Zelensky said at a briefing following a meeting with the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and UN Secretary General António Guterres in Lviv on Thursday.
