Zelensky thanks Biden for record over $3 bln US defense aid package
KYIV. Jan 7 (Interfax-Ukraine) – President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky thanked U.S. President Joseph Biden for his decision to provide Ukraine with a record $3 billion U.S. defense aid package, including unified Bradley tracked platforms and other weapons.
"I welcome the all-time U.S. defense aid package. Thank you Joseph Biden for the completely new weaponry, including Bradley vehicles, anti-aircraft missiles. It will strengthen the Ukrainian Army on a battlefield. Awesome Christmas present for Ukraine! Together with the U.S. people we are approaching a common victory!" Zelensky said on Twitter.
As reported, on Friday, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said the White House will provide a package of military assistance to Ukraine for more than $3 billion. The package will include unified Bradley tracked platforms and other types of weapons, as well as ammunition.
