Zelensky positively assesses Biden-Putin talk, to comment after dialogue with US President
KYIV. Dec 8 (Interfax-Ukraine) – President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has said he positively assesses the results of the conversation between Presidents of the United States and Russia Joseph Biden and Vladimir Putin on Tuesday, during which, in particular, the situation in Ukraine was discussed.
"I think it is positive that the U.S. President spoke with the President of the Russian President […] I believe that the victory of Ukraine lies in the fact that the United States has always supported Ukraine, our sovereignty and independence. We had bipartisan support, but most importantly, what we now see is that there is a personal real reaction and the personal role of President Biden in resolving this conflict, resolving the war in the east of our state," Zelensky said at a joint press conference with Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković in Kyiv on Wednesday.
