Zelensky on situation in Donbas: We record gradually increase in number of attacks, attempts at offensive actions by occupiers

KYIV. Jan 19 (Interfax-Ukraine) – President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, speaking about the situation in Donbas, announced the gradual fixing of the Ukrainian Armed Forces of an increase in the number of shelling and attempts at offensive actions by the Russian occupiers.

"As always, we are in touch with our military all day today. The situation at the frontline remains difficult. The epicenter of the most brutal battles is in Donbas. We are gradually recording an increase in the number of attacks and attempts at offensive actions by the occupiers," the president said in an evening video statement.

He expressed gratitude to the fighters of the 68th Separate Jaeger Brigade and the 36th Separate Marine Brigade for the effective defeat of the enemy and the necessary resilience in Donbas, as well as the Main Intelligence Agency of the Ministry of Defense for actions that reduce the chances of the invaders.
