Zelensky meets with European Commission chief in NYC., stresses importance of strategic dialogue on energy security
KYIV. Sept 22 (Interfax-Ukraine) – During a meeting with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen in New York City, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stressed the importance of a strategic dialogue on energy security.
"During the meeting I thanked Ursula von der Leyen for the EU’s participation in the Crimea Platform summit at the highest level and the allocation of a tranche of macro-financial assistance to Ukraine. We discussed preparations for the EU-Ukraine summit on October 12. I stressed the importance of strategic dialogue on energy security," Zelensky wrote on Twitter.
As reported, in the evening of September 20, Zelensky arrived in New York to participate in the 76th session of the UN General Assembly. The annual debate will last until September 27.
Zelensky’s speech at the general debate of the UN General Assembly will take place on September 22.
