Zelensky, Japanese PM agree on priorities for cooperation
KYIV. Jan 7 (Interfax-Ukraine) – President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky expressed confidence that Japan this year is able to do a lot for the common security of the two countries.
"I had a very important conversation today with Japanese Prime Minister [Fumio] Kishida. Japan has become a leader among Asian countries in defending freedom and international law over the past year," he said in a video statement on Friday.
"I am sure that this year too, especially given the Japanese presidency of the G7, which began in January, we will be able to do even more together for our common security. Actually, today we agreed on the priorities in cooperation this year," he said.
"I thank Mr. Prime Minister for a very serious package of energy assistance – powerful generators for our country and people," he said.
