Zelensky introduces changes to composition of Supreme Commander-in-Chief HQ – decree

KYIV. Aug 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) – President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has signed a decree on changes in the composition of the Headquarters of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief.

Relevant presidential decree No. 581/2022 of August 16 was published on the website of the head of state.

Zelensky decided to introduce the following persons into the staff of the Headquarters of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief: First Deputy Head of the State Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) Vasyl Maliuk; Commander of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Ihor Tantsiur; Commander of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Viktor Khorenko.

The head of state also approved Commander of the National Guard of Ukraine Yuriy Lebid in the staff of the Headquarters.

By the decree, he removed from the Headquarters of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief SBU former head Ihor Bakanov, former commander of the AFU Special Operations Forces Hryhoriy Halahan, former commander of the AFU Territorial Defense Forces Yuriy Halushkin.

The decree comes into force from the day of its publication.
