Zelensky in meetings, signing documents at Energy Dept, Pentagon, Dept of State, World Bank, NASA in U.S. – President's Press Secretary

KYIV. Aug 31 (Interfax-Ukraine) – President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in Washington will hold meetings and sign strategic documents at the Energy Department, the Pentagon, the U.S. Department of State, the World Bank, as well as NASA, presidential press secretary Serhiy Nikiforov said.

"It’s morning in Washington. Today, the President of Ukraine and the Ukrainian delegation are scheduled to meet and sign strategic documents at the Department of Energy, Pentagon, U.S. Department of State, World Bank and even NASA," he wrote on Facebook.

Also, according to Nikiforov, President Zelensky will take part in commemorating the victims of the Holodomor (Famine), present a plan for the transformation of Ukraine and, together with the first lady, will present a Ukrainian audio guide at the estate-museum of George Washington.

Earlier, the press service of Pentagon reported that U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin will meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Ukrainian Defense Minister Andriy Taran at the Pentagon at 14:00 Washington DC (21:00 Kyiv).

On August 31, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and his wife Olena arrived on a working visit to Washington (U.S.) at the invitation of American leader Joseph Biden.

A number of important meetings of Zelensky with American officials will also take place. Representatives of Ukraine and the United States will sign a number of documents.

The visit program is designed for several days and will cover a number of cities on the eastern and western coasts of the United States.
