Zelensky: Holocaust and Holodomor must not happen again
KYIV. Oct 5 (Interfax-Ukraine) – President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and President of Israel Isaac Herzog in their conversation noted the importance of continuing efforts to prevent a recurrence of the Holocaust and Holodomor.
"Together with the President of Israel, we noted the importance of continuing educational efforts at the national and international levels in order to prevent the recurrence of such crimes as the Holocaust, such as the Holodomor of 1932-1933 in Ukraine," Zelensky said during joint statements with Israeli President Isaac Herzog to the media.
According to the President, at the meeting with Herzog, special attention was paid to the issues of honoring the memory of the victims of BabynYar.
"I am personally grateful to President Herzog, as well as to other high delegations who will arrive in Kyiv these days to take part in commemorative events on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of this terrible world tragedy. The memory of these victims is sacred for us," added Zelensky.
