Zelensky: Full restoration of power system not yet possible
KYIV. Dec 8 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The full restoration of the power system as it was before the Russian terror is now impossible, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said in a video address on Wednesday.
"I also held a meeting on stabilizing the power system and protecting our power plants. We are constantly increasing the generation and supply of electricity – almost every day we add more capacity. But you should not forget – and everyone should not forget that the full restoration of the power system, which it was before the start of the Russian energy terror, is not possible right now," he said.
Therefore, he said that in most cities and regions, power outage schedules continue.
"As of this evening, there are more blackouts in the city of Kyiv and the region, in Lviv region, in Zhytomyr region, in Khmelnytsky region, Poltava region, Vinnytsia and Zaporizhia regions," Zelensky said.
