Zelensky, First Lady honor memory of Heroes of Heavenly Hundred on Ukraine’s Independence Day
KYIV. Aug 24 (Interfax-Ukraine) – On the Independence Day of Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelensky and First Lady Olena Zelenska took part in the ceremony of commemoration of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred.
According to the President’s Office, in the morning the president and his wife arrived at the memorial cross at the place of the death of the participants of the Revolution of Dignity on the Alley of Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred in the center of Kyiv.
"Volodymyr and Olena Zelensky installed lamps at the cross and bowed, honoring the memory of those who fell for freedom," the message says.
