Zelensky examines new sports palace in Izmail
KYIV. Oct 30 (Interfax-Ukraine) – President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on Saturday, as part of a working trip to Odesa region, examined Izmail Sports Palace.
As the presidential press service notes, the construction of the facility lasted nine years and was completed thanks to the inclusion of the facility in the Big Construction national program.
The Sports Palace consists of five blocks, which house a large multifunctional hall for team sports, a 25-meter swimming pool with spectator stands for 250 seats, an administrative block, gyms, and a hall for strength sports competitions with spectator stands for 40 seats. The capacity of the sports facility is 160 visitors per shift.
On the territory of the Sports Palace there is a roller track for training skateboarders, basketball and volleyball courts, gymnastics grounds, a tennis court, treadmills, flat sports facilities. There are also modern playgrounds and recreation space.
For access of people with limited mobility, ramps are installed in the building of the sports palace.
"Very cool complex. Indeed, here you feel a real inspiration for practicing different sports! Now every resident of Izmail has every opportunity to lead an active and healthy lifestyle. I would like to see more similar places throughout Ukraine," Zelensky said.
