Zelensky enacts NSDC decision to increase budget funding for security, defense to 5.95% of GDP – decree
KYIV. Sept 20 (Interfax-Ukraine) – President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky put into effect the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) dated September 17 on proposals to the bill on the national budget of Ukraine 2022 on articles related to ensuring the national security and defense of Ukraine.
According to the presidential website, the president signed relevant decree No.477/2021 on September 20.
"Control over the implementation of the NSDC decision, put into effect by this decree, shall be entrusted to the NSDC secretary. This decree shall enter into force on the day of its publication," the president said in the document.
