Zelensky enacts NSDC decision on sanctions in line with UN Security Council resolutions against Yemen
KYIV. Oct 29 (Interfax-Ukraine) – President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky put into effect the decision of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine on the imposition of personal special economic and other restrictive measures against the Republic of Yemen in accordance with the resolutions of the UN Security Council.
Relevant presidential decree No.555/2021 dated October 28 was released on the website of the head of state.
"Under Article 107 of the Constitution of Ukraine, I decide to enact the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine on the imposition of personal special economic and other restrictive measures (sanctions) in accordance with the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council concerning the Republic of Yemen, dated October 15, 2021," the president said in the decree.
Control over the implementation of the NSDC decision, put into effect by this decree, is entrusted to the NSDC secretary.
The decree comes into force on the day of its publication.
