Zelensky does not understand with whom to negotiate in Moscow
KYIV. Jan 19 (Interfax-Ukraine) – President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky does not understand with whom it is possible to negotiate in Russia and is not sure that Russian President Vladimir Putin is alive.
"We have been doing everything for three years to be able to liberate our lands through diplomacy. Someone did not want to, someone did not have time, someone sent conditions. There were many of them and all centered in Moscow," he said Thursday, speaking via video link at the "Ukrainian Breakfast" in Davos, organized by the Victor Pinchuk Foundation.
"I don’t understand with whom and what to talk about. I’m not sure that the president of Russia, who sometimes appears… TV people will understand on the ‘chroma key’ [a green background used to change any image] I don’t quite understand what he is. I don’t fully understand that he is alive. I don’t know who makes the decisions, what circle of people. When we say ‘peace talks, I don’t quite understand with whom," Zelensky said.
"Russia must find someone and then offer something," he also said.
