Zelensky congratulates Fumio Kishida on election as PM of Japan, counts on close cooperation
KYIV. Oct 4 (Interfax-Ukraine) – President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky congratulated Fumio Kishida on his election as the 100th Prime Minister of Japan.
"Congratulations to Fumio Kishida on his election as the 100th Prime Minister of Japan. I count on close cooperation to further deepen the Ukrainian-Japanese partnership and fill it with new content. I appreciate the continued support of Japan for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity," Zelensky said in his Twitter page.
As reported, Fumio Kishida, president of Japan’s ruling Liberal Democratic Party, became the country’s new prime minister following a vote by the Japanese parliament.
