Zelensky asking heads of Regional State Administrations to report to him on real situation with provision of oxygen in hospitals

KYIV. Oct 29 (Interfax-Ukraine) – President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky is asking the heads of Regional State Administrations to report to him about the real amount of oxygen in hospitals.

"A very important issue of oxygen. As far as I know, our oxygen is enough. Today hospitals are provided. We also read and listen in some media, they say that there is no oxygen in Ukraine. Therefore, I would like to hear from the regions who do not have, and if they have, then, please, tell me how much," Zelensky said at a meeting of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities in Odesa on Friday.

In turn, head of the President’s Office of Ukraine Andriy Yermak stressed that, despite the fact that the country had previously coped with the waves of COVID-19, now there is a new challenge in Ukraine – a new wave of coronavirus, so the purpose of the Congress is to hear the current problems in the regions.

"The President has set the task for leaders of both governments and representatives of the President’s Office to visit the regions in the near future. Therefore, I would like to inform you that the present ministers and leaders in the coming weeks will travel to the regions, monitor the situation and resolve issues on the ground that still remain," noted Yermak.
