KYIV. Sept 2 (Interfax-Ukraine) – First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska took part in a meeting with women leaders of Power women during the working visit of the President of Ukraine to the U.S.
"As part of the working visit of the President of Ukraine to the U.S., First Lady Olena Zelenska took part in a meeting with women leaders Power Women, where she shared her experience as a first lady and talked about each area of activity," the statement published on the website of the head of state said on Thursday night.
Representatives of U.S. diplomatic circles joined the discussion.
"The level of female strength today is incredible, it initiates great change. It is important to me that we can come together and talk about the challenges we face almost every day, as well as listen and support each other. Often it is because of such conversations and discussions, we can find right ways to overcome the challenges of our time," Zelenska is quoted as saying by the Ukrainian president’s website.
At the meeting, the First Lady of Ukraine informed about the main directions of her activities – equal rights for women and men, school nutrition reform, development of barrier-free Ukraine and cultural diplomacy – and shared the results that have been achieved recently.
