KYIV. Sept 6 (Interfax-Ukraine) – PrJSC Zaporizhkoks, one of the largest producers of coke chemical products in Ukraine, part of Metinvest Group, in January-August of this year reduced production of coke by 19.3% compared to the same period last year – to 466,700 tonnes
According to the company, 70,500 tonnes were produced in August.
At the same time, 69,900 tonnes of coke were produced in July, in June – 68,390 tonnes, May – 67,970 tonnes, April – 52,660 tonnes, March – 4,120 tonnes, February – 64,500 tonnes, January – 68,700 tonnes.
"The decrease in the level of production compared to the same period last year is due to the shortage of raw materials caused by military actions," the company explains.
As reported, in 2021 Zaporizhkoks reduced production by 1.9% compared to 2020 – to 837,200 tonnes.
Zaporizhkoks produces about 10% of the coke produced in Ukraine, and controls the full technological cycle of processing coke chemical products.
