Zaluzhny, US Joint Chiefs of Staff Milley discuss situation at frontline

KYIV. Aug 26 (Interfax-Ukraine) – On Friday, August 26, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhny had a telephone conversation with Chief of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley.

"I informed about the operational situation along the entire front line. I noted that the enemy is spreading misinformation about the situation at Zaporizhia nuclear power plant, blaming the Ukrainian military for shelling it," Zaluzhny said on his Telegram channel.

Zaluzhny also thanked the United States for another aid package and consistent support for Ukraine.

"Got General Milley’s assurances of unwavering support from President Joe Biden personally, from both Houses of Parliament and the American people as a whole," he said.
