KYIV. Dec 9 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Head of the President’s Office of Ukraine Andriy Yermak on Friday, December 9, held a meeting with a delegation of the Slovak non-state analytical center GLOBSEC, the Office’s press service reports.
"Andriy Yermak informed the GLOBSEC representatives about the importance of the Kyiv Security Compact as a tool for providing effective security guarantees for Ukraine for the period before obtaining full NATO membership. Separate attention was paid to the need to increase sanctions pressure on the terrorist country Russia, in particular, as part of the developments of the Yermak-McFaul sanctions group," the message says.
The interlocutors also discussed the possibilities of practical involvement of GLOBSEC experts in the preparation of analytical documents on international support, primarily on accelerating Ukraine’s acquisition of full membership in the European Union and NATO.
Yermak thanked the founder and president of GLOBSEC, Robert Vass, for his personal contribution to supporting Ukraine, as well as efforts to consolidate the global expert community around comprehensive support for Ukraine.
It is noted that the meeting was a logical continuation of the talks between President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and the delegation of Slovakia headed by Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Rastislav Káčer.
