We must help Ukraine by all means – Nauseda regarding discovery of Izium mass graves
KYIV. Sept 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The discovery of mass graves and torture chambers in Izyum is yet another proof of Russian cruelty, Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda has said and called for all means to help Ukraine.
"Another proof of Russian brutality, discovery of mass graves and torture chambers in Izium. Occupiers spread misery and death wherever they appear. They do it today, will do it tomorrow. We must help Ukraine by all means necessary! We must stop the killing of civilians and the war!" Nauseda said on Twitter on Friday.
In turn, Latvian Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkēvičs called for further sanctions against the Russian Federation.
"Mass graves in Izium, Ukraine, prove that Russia is a terrorist state. We must continue to support Ukraine, hold Russia and its officials accountable and decide on further sanctions, including European vide visa and entry restrictions for Russian citizens," Rinkēvičs said.
