We hope to sow more than 13 mln ha this year – PM
KYIV. April 4 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal expects that more than 13 million hectares will be sown during the sowing season in 2023.
“Right now, the sowing season is going on across the country. The second sowing season during the Great War. Farmers in all regions have sown more than 500,000 hectares. Most of all in Ternopil, Vinnytsia and Khmelnytsky regions. In total, we hope to sow more than 13 million hectares this year” Shmyhal said at a government meeting on Tuesday.
In this regard, the Prime Minister said that the demining of farmland and assistance to farmers is a priority for the government.
