We can expect regions to start leaving 'red zone' next week – Liashko
KYIV. Nov 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Starting next week, we can expect the start of the exit of the regions of Ukraine from the "red zone" of epidemic danger, Minister of Health Viktor Liashko has said.
"The beginning of the exit of regions from the ‘red’ level of epidemic danger can be expected from next week. There are a number of areas where the incidence rate has decreased, discharge began to steadily prevail over hospitalizations. The percentage of occupied beds with oxygen has also decreased," he said at a briefing on Tuesday.
The minister said that 30 days have passed since the establishment of the "red" level of epidemic danger in the first region, Kherson region. "This is actually the same time as in the last wave, that is, at the time of the introduction of quarantine restrictions, which allowed us to go at an average pace," he said.
At the same time, Liashko said that from November 18, the "red" level of epidemic danger will be established in Vinnytsia region.
