Volunteer formations to be deployed in small settlements, if necessary – Reznikov
KYIV. Jan 25 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov says that volunteer formations will be deployed if necessary to protect critical infrastructure in small towns.
“Volunteer formations will be deployed on the recommendation of the Commander of the Territorial Defense Forces by the decision of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in small settlements, villages if necessary,” Reznikov said following a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council on Monday night.
According to him, they will be staffed by local residents, who have hunting weapons, so that they could, if necessary, complete tasks for protection of critical infrastructure, if they are in the territory of this settlement.
