Volume of industrial products sold in Ukraine up by 44.8% in Jan-Aug – statistics
KYIV. Oct 5 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukraine in January-August 2021 sold industrial products (goods, services) in the amount of UAH 2.219 trillion, which is 44.8% more than in January-August 2020 (UAH 1.533 trillion), including outside the country – in the amount of UAH 676.359 billion, the State Statistics Service reported on Tuesday.
According to it, in August 2021 compared to August 2020, the turnover of sold products in the mining and processing industries increased by 45.8%, and compared to July 2021 – it decreased by 3.8%. Sales of products of the mining industry in August 2021 compared to the same month last year increased by 73.2%, and the processing industry – by 40.3%. Compared to the previous month (August versus July 2021), sales in the mining industry decreased by 15.9%, and in the processing industry – by 0.3%.
In the total volume of sales of industrial products over the eight months of 2021, the largest share fell on the processing industry (61.9%), the supply of electricity, gas, steam and conditioned air (18.9%), metallurgical production (18.6%), as well as the mining industry and quarrying (18.0%).
As reported, in 2020 Ukraine sold industrial products (goods, services) in the amount of UAH 2.481 trillion.
