Volume of construction work performed in Ukraine up by 10% in Sept – statistics
KYIV. Nov 1 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The volume of construction work performed in Ukraine in September 2021 increased by 10% compared to September 2020.
According to the State Statistics Service, in January-September 2021 compared to January-September 2020, the index of construction products amounted to 103.2%. The volume of construction work completed in nine months amounted to UAH 149.1 billion.
According to the statistics service, in September 2021, the seasonally adjusted index of construction products amounted to 101.6% compared to the previous month.
The State Statistics Service reported that in September 2021 versus September 2020, an increase in the volume of construction work was observed in construction of residential buildings – by 1.8%, and engineering structures – by 18%, while construction of non-residential buildings decreased by 4.3%.
The share of new construction in the total volume of completed construction work was 33.1%, repairs – 41.3%, reconstruction and technical re-equipment – 25.6%.
An increase in the volume of construction work in January-September 2021 compared with January-September 2020 was recorded in Ternopil region (by 54.2%, to UAH 2.73 billion), Cherkasy region (by 32.8%, to UAH 2.18 billion), Odesa region (by 24%, to UAH 22.3 billion), Rivne region (by 23.3%, to UAH 2.53 billion), Khmelnytsky region (by 14%, to UAH 4.84 billion), Ivano-Frankivsk region (by 12.2%, to UAH 2.9 billion), Kharkiv region (by 12.1% to UAH 12.73 billion), Volyn region (by 11.9%, to UAH 1.8 billion), Mykolaiv region (by 8.9%, to UAH 2.73 billion), Kyiv region (by 6.9%, to UAH 10.18 billion) and Kyiv city (by 3.7%, to UAH 33 billion).
In other regions, there was a decrease in construction volumes. The most significant drop was shown by Chernivtsi (by 39.1%) and Zakarpattia (by 30%) regions.
The statistics is given without taking into account the temporarily occupied Crimea and the temporarily occupied territories in Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
As reported, the volume of construction work performed in Ukraine in 2020 increased by 4% compared to 2019.
