Volume of cargo transportation in 2022 down by 48.8%, passengers by 39.7% – statistics
KYIV. March 27 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The volume of cargo transportation in Ukraine in 2022 decreased by 48.8%, to 318.2 million tonnes, the State Statistics Service reported.
At the same time, cargo turnover over the past year decreased by 42.7%, to 165.935 billion tonnes/km.
The number of passengers carried in 2022 decreased by 39.7% compared to 2021, to 1.6 billion passengers, and passenger turnover by 50.4%, to 31.142 billion passengers/km.
