Verkhovna Rada sets up interim inquiry panel for cases of alienation of Ukraine's state property abroad

KYIV. Feb 23 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has created an interim inquiry panel for the investigation into possible violation of the legislation during the alienation of the state property of Ukraine abroad.

Member of the Holos faction Yaroslav Zhelezniak said on the Telegram channel that 302 parliamentarians backed relevant instruction No. 8112 during a plenary session of the Verkhovna Rada on Thursday.

According to the explanatory note, one of the main tasks of the newly created interim inquiry panel is the establishment of real foreign assets that were transferred to Ukraine’s ownership after the break-up of the Soviet Union and the analysis of their use.

Member of the Servant of the People faction Fedir Venislavsky was appointed as chairman of the inquiry panel.
