Venice Commission to adopt opinion on oligarch bill in Dec
KYIV. Sept 22 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Venice Commission will adopt an opinion on bill No.5599 on the prevention of threats to national security associated with the excessive influence of persons with significant economic or political weight in public life (oligarchs) at its meeting in December.
This is stated in a letter from President of the commission Gianni Buquicchio, addressed to Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Dmytro Razumkov, published by MP Oleksiy Honcharenko in the Telegram channel.
"The Venice Commission will prepare its opinion [on bill No.5599] for adoption at its 129th plenary session on December 15 and 16, 2021," according to the letter.
