VAT refund in Jan to be highest since early 2022 – Hetmantsev
KYIV. Jan 27 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The amount of value added tax (VAT) refunds in January 2023 will be the largest since the beginning of 2022, Danylo Hetmantsev, head of the parliamentary committee on finance, taxation and customs policy, said on Telegram.
"A total of UAH 19 billion has already been reimbursed to businesses," he wrote on Telegram.
As reported, the volume of VAT refunds in 2022 fell by 47% compared to 2021, to UAH 84.6 billion, while VAT receipts from goods produced in Ukraine last year amounted to UAH 298.5 billion, which is only 5.4%, or UAH 17 billion less than a year earlier.
