Vaccine for prevention of influenza passes state quality control in Ukraine – Health Ministry

KYIV. Sept 23 (Interfax-Ukraine) – A quadrivalent inactivated influenza vaccine produced in Korea has passed government quality control, the website of the Ministry of Health reported.

According to the report, it is planned to supply about 200,000 doses of this vaccine to the Ukrainian market.

"As of September 20, 2021, a positive conclusion was issued on compliance with the requirements of state and international standards for 60,600 doses of vaccine (Q60221047 and Q60221048 series)," the message says.

Another two vaccines are under laboratory quality control. A conclusion regarding their compliance is expected on October 3, 2021. It’s about tetravalent inactivated vaccines produced in France (about 850,000 doses) and the Netherlands (about 200,000 doses).

In general, 1.25 million doses of flu vaccine are expected to be available in Ukraine this season.
