Vaccinated with two doses to be able to get UAH 1,000 for sports, theater, traveling – Zelensky

KYIV. Nov 15 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Every Ukrainian who has received two vaccines against coronavirus (COVID-19) disease will be able to receive UAH 1,000 for sports, travel and visits to cultural institutions, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has said.
"Everyone who has received two vaccines will be able to get UAH 1,000. Quickly and conveniently, that is, through the Diia application. For this money, you can purchase a gym or fitness club membership, visit a cinema, theater, museum, concert hall or exhibition center or buy tickets for domestic travel," Zelensky said in a video statement posted on Facebook on Monday.
According to the president, the program will start on December 19. By the end of the year, about UAH 3 billion will be allocated for it and the same number at the beginning of 2022.
Zelensky said that citizens who do not have a smartphone and the Diia application, primarily the elderly, will also be able to receive UAH 1,000. Alternative methods of obtaining will be announced shortly.
According to the Ministry of Health, as of November 15, some 8.722 million Ukrainians received two doses from COVID-19, at least one dose some 12.229 million.
