US Secretary of State, French FM discuss reports on Russia's military activities in Ukraine, near its borders
WASHINGTON. Nov 15 (Interfax) – U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken discussed with French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian reports on Russia’s military activities in Ukraine and near its borders, U.S. State Department spokesman Ned Price has said.
"Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken spoke yesterday with French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian to discuss reports of concerning Russian military activity in and near Ukraine and their continued ironclad commitment to Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity," Price said in a message posted by the U.S. Department of State.
They also discussed joint efforts to address Iran’s nuclear program.
Earlier, Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said that the United States is concerned over the movement of Russian troops in the border area with Ukraine and calls on Moscow to clarify its intentions.
