US military leadership to discuss situation in Ukraine in Brussels – Pentagon
KYIV. Oct 11 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin and head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mark Milley will travel to Brussels to personally attend the NATO ministerial meeting, as well as the sixth meeting of the Ramstein format group, the Pentagon website reports.
In particular, it is noted that a meeting of defense ministers of NATO member countries will be held on October 12-13 at the headquarters of the North Atlantic Alliance, with the participation of Finland and Sweden.
At the same time, on October 12, a meeting of the Ukrainian Defense Contact Group (UDCG) will be held in the Ramstein format.
It is also expected that the meeting will be attended by defense ministers from nearly 50 countries from around the world, who will discuss Russia’s war against Ukraine, as well as further close coordination "to provide the Ukrainian people with the means necessary to defend their sovereign territory."
