US govt not currently considering evacuations of govt personnel or US citizens from Ukraine – Embassy
KYIV. Dec 8 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The U.S. government is not currently considering evacuating U.S. government personnel or American citizens from Ukraine, the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine has said.
"Contrary to news reports, U.S. gov’t is not currently considering evacuations of government personnel or American citizens from Ukraine. We conduct normal contingency planning, as we always do, in the event the security situation severely deteriorates," the message posted on the Embassy’s Twitter page on Tuesday says.
