United States grateful to everyone who served, serving to protect Ukraine – embassy
KYIV. Dec 6 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The U.S. Embassy congratulated Ukrainian military personnel on the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and thanked them for their self-sacrifice and courage.
"On the Armed Forces Day of Ukraine, we thank all those who have served in the name of Ukraine’s democracy, sovereignty and territorial integrity. We pay our respects to all the fallen and wounded, and we salute those who continue to serve in Ukraine’s defense. Ukraine has no greater partner than the United States," Colonel Brittany Stewart, senior spokeswoman for the U.S. Department of Defense, Military Attaché, said in a video message posted on the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine Twitter page on Monday.
She noted that Russian aggression against Ukraine continues and stressed that the United States supports Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
