UN Secretary General: I do not see end of war in Ukraine in immediate future
KYIV. Jan 18 (Interfax-Ukraine) – UN Secretary-General António Guterres said he does not see an end to the war in Ukraine in the near future, as he sees no chance now for negotiations between the two sides.
"This war will end as everything. But I do not see end of the war in the immediate future, unfortunately. I do not see a chance at the present moment to oversee peace negotiation between the two parties," he said during a session of the World Economic Forum in Davos on Wednesday.
He also said the Russian invasion of Ukraine is a violation of international law.
