UN expresses condolences over tragic loss of life in Brovary
KYIV. Jan 18 (Interfax-Ukraine) – UN System Coordinator in Ukraine Denise Brown expressed her condolences to the families of the victims, the government and citizens of Ukraine over the plane crash in Brovary.
"I am deeply saddened by the tragic deaths of the Ukrainian Minister of Internal Affairs Denys Monastyrskyi, First Deputy Minister Yevhen Yenin and State Secretary Yurii Lubkovych. Some other Government officials and local residents, including children, have also been killed and injured in Brovary, near Kyiv, this morning. I extend, on behalf of the United Nations, my deepest sympathy and condolences to their families, to the Government and to the people of Ukraine," according to the statement on the UN website.
