Ukrzaliznytsia plans to repair, build 149.3 km of tracks in 2022
KYIV. Aug 24 (Interfax-Ukraine) – JSC Ukrzaliznytsia plans to repair and build 149.3 km of tracks in 2022, focusing on the direction of the EU countries.
"Despite the war, we plan to build and repair a record amount of infrastructure – 149.3 km. In addition, 56.8 km of tracks will be electrified. The main work is focused on upgrading infrastructure in the direction of crossing points of the countries of the European Union," the company said in its Telegram channel on Wednesday.
The company said that work under martial law is being carried out at an accelerated pace.
"If earlier it took months or years to build a bridge, now it takes less than a month. It used to take days to restore the infrastructure, but now it takes hours," Ukrzaliznytsia said.
